NEW BASKET

Good afternoon prim friends! I hope everyone out there on the east coast is managing OK with this storm they are getting. I saw on Loretta's blog that they are without power and have resorted to PB & J sandwiches.
Anyway, I know this isn't a new basket but it is a new offering here on Primitive basketcase. I made these years ago and had forgotten about them but then I saw a couple in the latest CS Home Tour Edition so thought I would make a few. So far I have a distressed black one and a walnut stained one ready to go. This heart basket measures 15 1/2 inches tall including the handle. It is 13 inches wide at it widest point near the top, the pockets are roughly 7 inches wide x 9 1/2 high. Even for those of you that don't like hearts, this is not really a typical heart and this basket looks wonderful hanging from a peg. It may be filled with your favorite drieds or left as is. Little more cross stitch

This lovely primitive pillow was made from a Shelly Auen pattern. It was stitched on 28 ct. linen, backed with brown wool and rag stuffed for a nice old feel. It measures 9 x 6 1/2 inches. I have attached a rusty bell & safety pin and it has been stained with walnut crystals. Price is $23.00 which includes shipping to the 48 US. SOLD, THANKS SO VERY MUCH!

This "Needfuls" box was made from a Stacy Nash design. It has a brown flower urn & lovely blue and pewter flowers with green foliage. It has been stained with walnut stain. This has been stitched on 28ct linen with one thread over two and the top does have some stuffing so may be used for pins and needles. The fabrics on the sides and bottoms are repro fabrics from Wyndham collection. Included in this is some flax and 3 robin egg blue eggs. You may display the eggs in a bowl or basket and use the box for your sewing needfuls. What a lovely set for spring. This measures 6 1/2 inches across the top and is almost 4 inches tall. TULIPS IN SPRING

Good evening prim friends. Tonight I'm offering this lovely Spring pinkeep for your consideration. This pinkeep is from a pattern by Jenny Hoffman and I have stitched it on 32 ct. belgian linen one strand of floss over 2 threads. It is done in the loveliest colors and I have backed it with a beautiful peacock blue wool. It measures 8 1/4 inches by 5 3/4 inches and is stuffed with old quilt pieces and a little bit of wool. On the back I have stitched on a dark brown wool heart with primitive stitches and tucked in a pair of old fashioned scissors. I love these scissors for snipping threads and love the look of them. I always keep a pair of these handy when I'm working on my stitching or sewing.

EASTER PRIMS AND NEW DOLL FOR SALE

This is Amelia from a TFC pattern. She is made from heavy muslin and is 20 inches tall. She is wearing a dress made from some old blue calico, an osnaberg apron and bonnet. Her face is all handstiched and she has been painted, sanded, and stained. She is carrying a small basket full of sweet annie. I made the basket and it measures approx. 4 x 2 inches and I used a small cinnamon stick and wire for the handle. Amelia can be yours for $30.00 which includes shipping to the 48 US.

This is a sweet pinkeep of my own design and can be used as a bowl filler or you can hang it. The fabric hanger is attached with two rusty safety pins and can be easily removed. It is stitched on 28 ct. linen with one strand of floss in muted browns, blues, and grays. It measures 9 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches and has been coffee stained and baked. The backing for this pinkeep is from Wyndhams civil war collection and is a lovely robin egg blue with tiny cream dots. These darling black bunnies are from a Pineberry Lane pattern and included is a needlepunch egg. The bunnies measure 10 inches and 8 inches and are made from muslin. The mama bunny has button eyes and a pinch stitched nose and mouth. The baby bnny has a pinch stitched nose & look at those little teeth ~ aren't those the cutest? Mama is wearing a homespun scarf and baby a string with a tiny rusty bell. Their tails are lamb's wool. The egg is needlepunched with the loveliest muted colors ~ brick, pewter, tan, and a tiny bit of robin egg blue and then coffee stained. The egg is 4 inches tall. A couple of new prims

Good afternoon, prim friends. Let me start off by saying that there are currently some changes here on my selling blog. I am no longer taking orders for baskets. I have been so busy and I don't feel I can get them done in a timely manner so at this time, no more orders, please. I will be offering a basket here for sale now and then but if it is marked sold, then it is gone. I am so far behind at home and Ihope you understand but at this time I want the freedom to work on other projects. Also so many of my baskets are so expensive to ship. I so appreciate all of my loyal and new customers & there will still be baskets on here for sale, so please don't give up on me. Hopefully in the spring/summer I will get up the nerve to have my neck surgery & the weaving will be easier on me. Today I am offering a few things that I've so enjoyed working on.

This is a quaternity rose box which was inspired by Pineberry Lane. The box measures 4 inches across and 3 inches high. Inside it I have put 3 beeswax hearts, a wool strawberry, some vintage buttons, and a vintage clothespin wrapped with flax, rusty wire & then I attached a rusty bell. The base and sides of the box are covered with a deep red repro fabric and the rose has been stitched on 28ct. evenweave with one strand over 2 threads. PRICE is $24.00 which includes shipping. Next is 2 Hares Marking Sampler, a pattern from Pineberry Lane. This box measures 5 x 4 inches and is done in blues and browns. Inside the box is the tiniest little bunny pinkeep, a vintage sppol of thread, some old buttons and pins. PRICE $30.00 includes shipping.
This is a beautiful heart and hand needlepunch pinkeep from another Pineberry Lane pattern. It is done in tans, ivory, a beautiful brick, and a tiny bit of robin egg blue and has the year 1802. It measures 5 x 4 1/2 inches and looks wonderful as a bowlfiller. PRICE ~ $27.00 includes shipping.
This is the sweetest needlebook from Stacy Nash's group that Jeannie from Country Sampler in Wisconsin has set up. This was such a fun projec to work on.

This picture shows the back of the needlebook with the year 1890. It is stitched on 32 ct. linen one over two threads.

This is the fron and it has ties to close it up to keep all of your needles handy when you are stitching.

This is the inside. It is such a gorgeous reproduction tan and red fabric Stacy has chosen ad the red heart for the needles is a beautiful red velveteen. Price ~ $40.00 includes shipping.

The last item I am offering today is this gorgeous pillow which I have rag stuffed. It has a wonderful old feel to it. This "Token of Love" pillow is a Pineberry Lane design and measures 12 x 8 1/2 inches so it is a wonderful size to sit on an old chair as I have shown here. Attached are two strawberries ~ one is red wool & the other is a beautiful red & tan fabric which is also the backing for the pillow. The tops of the berries are dk. green wool. This pillow is great for Valentine's day but also perfect for everyday use. Price ~ $70.00 which includes shipping.
